My Breakfast
I believe I may be weirdest breakfast tastes in West Virginia. The standard for the old timers around here is the bacon, eggs fresh out of chicken butts, biscuits and sausage gravy ( sausage from that ol man Bob Pahl).Right now, I am browning hamburger to make tacos. I had hamburgers yesterday and have been known to eat BBQ ribs and coleslaw. I only like a "real" breakfast on Sundays . . . . that is when Dad always fixed the works. Mom would fix me french toast on Saturdays and the rest of the week, I don't really remember eating breakfast. During my childhood, I may not have eaten breakfast. My dad took care of getting me ready, because Mom had to be at work at 7AM. School didn't start until 8:30 and I only remember being perpetually late in first grade, even though we were only 1/2 mile from school. I started riding the bus after that year . . . my second grade teacher wasn't as lenient as Miss Dotson . . .
I didn't fair too well with Joey either . . . we usually stopped at Rockport General and picked him up a Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Cookie, along with my Diet Mt. Dew . . . .
Right now though, I am managing pretty well at feeding her cereal every morning . . .
