TEENAGERS AND OTHER YOUNG PERSONS
I am going to "bluster" about some annoyances in my life recently. The first, is a young girl that also lives somewhere out my road but I don't know where. If I did, I would probably retalitate in a manner which might become tenuous. The first "incident" started when my tierod broke, in the middle of a hill with an extremely steep grade, in the middle of a "kiss your ass" turn in the road. Mind you, this is one- lane, tar and chip, pothole road. Well, since I had broken my tierod, I couldn't move and had a hard time getting stopped . . . the hill is so steep, that I had my brakes on but was still sliding in the sandy shit on the road, probably SAND, since it was winter, but I was only traveling about 10 miles an hour and still had a hard time coming to a stop. I also had Charleigh-Anne and Bridgette with me.
Well, this is not a high-traffic road and I trudged off to find help, while Bridgette sat with her foot on the brake, in the middle of the road and the baby in the car seat in the back. I trudged back up this steep ass hill.
I got to Sargent's house and no one was home. I finally get to the next house, which was about 1/2 mile from the car and found someone home. He said that he would come down and try to help us get the car off the road. That was goal number 1. When got in his truck and went back down the hill and he parked behind my car and when we arrived, there was a truck that had just arrived coming UP the hill. You can't back down and you can't turn around, so he was also stuck, but had pulled off to the side onto the narrow shoulder. Between the two men, they straightened the wheel back up so that we could slowly move the car to the side of the road . . . move a few feet, straighten wheel . . .move a few feet, straighten wheel. Repeat until you get to the flat where we could get it off the road a little bit, maybe 30 feet. In the meantime, I had taken the baby out of the car and had the carseat sitting on the side of the road, close to the first guy's truck, because no one was in it and well, if it took off down over the hill because of gear and brake failure, I didn't want her in it.
Another car comes up the hill and goes around the second guy's truck and then realizes that the road is blocked. She (chicky girl in green car) had to sit for maybe one minute, probably two and before we could even get it off the road, she tears around my car, swerves the other way around first guy's truck on this steep ass hill and gets off the shoulder a little and SLINGS GRAVEL EVERYWHERE INCLUDING WHERE MY BABY IS SITTING. I made a note of said car with chicky girl in it, had temp tags in the window, green car, some kind of little Chevy and made mental note that I would catch her eventually and tell her a few things.
Well, since then, she has almost ran into me on 3 separate occasions, once yelling at me to stay on my side of the road, which I was on, while she was talking on a cell phone in the middle of the road (mind you again, this is a one lane road). The last incident, which was last week happened at the intersection of our road, where you actually pull of Wadeville Rd onto Lee Crk Rd . . . this is a sticky place, we have a stop sign coming off the hill onto the straight, flat Lee Crk and I was sitting there, waiting on cars that were coming in the opposite direction, going straight ahead and not pulling up my road. Normally, if someone is waiting to pull off Wadeville Rd, off the hill and someone else wants to pull onto Wadeville Rd, up the hill, the person coming up the hill, allows the person coming off the hill to go first, it is hard to see if anyone is coming up Lee Crk and you have to kind of pull out in the middle of our one lane road to see around the weeds and stuff. Well, she was in the last car and just proceeded to almost sideswipe me while talking on her cell phone AGAIN to go up the hill. I swear, if I ever find out who she is, I am calling the cops. I will drive up and down the road until I find the car and get her plate number and call the sheriff. That is if I she doesn't actually run into me first and I kick her ass. Or, if she yells something out at me again, I am stopping and getting out of the car. I have fucking had it. She is a danger to everyone.
On another topic, I am sick of Joey. I have had it. If I can find his father, I am going to send him there for the rest of the summer after his thing at Camp Kootoga. His attitude is rotten and he doesn't realize that he has the easiest life a kid could have. When I was his age, I had worked for 3 summers and had to make my own money, instead of having it handed over to me. He is disrespectful to Mom and I have had it. Let him live the shitty life for awhile. Part of the problem is us . . . we coddled him so much after his BaBa died (my Dad) and his Dad practically abandoned him and still he still doesn't talk to him, let alone see him. We let things slide because we felt sorry for him. He refused to call his Dad back, after he called and left Joey a message to call him back, at Thanksgiving and that is the last time that we have heard from him. But the terms of visitation say that he is supposed to spend the summer with his Dad and well, I might just enforce them for the first time in 11 years. We just can't let things slide anymore because we don't want "confrontations" or "arguements" or "big blow-ups". He needs a wake-up call . . . . I just don't know how to do it. Mom wants to take everything out of his room . . . I want him to be more miserable than that. He needs no a/c, no TV, no phone. If I take him home with me, that's what will happen, but Mom doesn't want to tell him he is no longer welcome in her home . . . but I think that it might eventually turn into something that will be more beneficial for him and he won't hate her forever.
