IN ALL THE OTHER EXCITEMENT YESTERDAY . . .
there were a few things that I left out that happened yesterday. After returning home from the parade yesterday, we had a pretty hard storm which produced quite a bit of rain. Mom was checking the water level in our cistern when she saw 2 does and 2 fawns (still with their spots!) crossing the road down by where the old oak tree used to be. The dogs were still in the garage, so they stood there for quite a bit before a car came up the road and scared them off.For some reason, our garage door was left open after we returned home. The sun was starting to shine again and like I do several times a day, I glanced out the door where the garage is located . . . only this time, I could see up into the yard because of the open garage door. Imagine my shock when I saw TWELVE TURKEYS. I almost got to my camera in the back of the car but then they left. The funniest part though was when I tried to alert my Mom . . . I was eating a piece of pizza and had just taken a large bite and was trying to tell her about the turkeys. I ended up losing some of it out of my mouth along with some drool. "Oh ma gobsh momb, darb abre turbkeys inba guard!!!!" Quite funny. I didn't see any gobblers but that doesn't mean there weren't any in the "dule" of turkeys. Yup, that is what a group of turkeys is called. Anyhow, there were juveniles in the bunch and some large hens, one of which was huge! I looked at it as closely as possible but didn't see any sign of it being a tom . . . .
So after all that excitement, we had another milestone occur last night. Charleigh-Anne stood all by herself for quite a bit. She stood for like 20 seconds all by herself!!!!! We expect her to just take off walking anytime! Does anyone know how long it takes before they go from standing alone to walking??? Please let me know, I forget. I just want to be prepared. LOL

I'm back from holidays and I've got one used text book ad on my site! I still have some missionary stuff but it's a start.
Nice work on the sighting of a dule of turkeys!
