SHE DIED WITHOUT EVER KNOWING . . .

who it was that murdered her daughter. Now the murderer has reportedly been arrested.

Our nation was gripped by this story of the little beauty pageant girl who had been murdered in her own home on December 26, 1996. It sent chills down my spine anytime it was mentioned. My own adorable son was only 6 also. The story "hit home" even more than that though. Patsy Ramsey was born and raised right here in Parkersburg. She graduated from the "other" high school, Parkersburg High School in 1974 and was a Miss West Virginia, attaining that title in 1977.

Now don't get me wrong. I don't know anyone who actually knew her . . . Northenders are click-ish and I don't really know anyone from that "side" of town. That's where all the money is in Parkersburg (and all the slums for that matter) but that is a story for another time.

Much blame and suspicion was cast upon the immediate family. Blame for exposing JonBenet to the pageant world and suspicion was cast on the mother Patsy, father Jon and brother Burke. They questioned and questioned these people over and over putting them through hell. They took polygraph and DNA tests but the suspicion remained and what about that strange letter?

Who would do such a thing? What exactly happened in that home? Well, it seems we are going to find out now.

Poor Patsy Ramsey died less than two months ago never knowing who her daughter's killer was. Now maybe she can rest in peace . . .
