WV IN THE HEADLINES . . . .
for the second time this week!!! Like I should really be excited!!!Okay, in case you didn't know, WV was the ONLY state that had a decrease in the number of minorities! LOL Gee, I wonder why?!?! Maybe they looked on the internet about "Life in West Virginia" and saw a gun-toting Winnie the Pooh . . . . LMAO
Seriously though, the article said West Virginia was the exception
with its struggling economy and little history of attracting immigrants
as the cause for the decline. Well, all I can say is that's a bunch of shit. Little history of attracting immigrants. Um, well, I guess all that prior history of immigration doesn't count as "history". That article is a bunch of bullshit. If you think that WV has little history of immigration click on this for a small bit of information. I will wait. My blog will still be here in 2 hours.
That is just in the COAL MINES. Sheesh, give me a break already. And as for our economy struggling, well, thankfully there are no Hispanics vying for the jobs that are left. I guess one good thing about living in a bad economy means no illegal immigrants. LOL
Seriously, I honestly can't tell you anything about a bad economy here except for some recent plant closings that affected a couple hundred people all told. Even then, within a 10 mile radius of those closings, there are all kinds of building jobs from new stores and restaurants that are being built in our "struggling" economy in addition to the businesses that are opening after the construction. 3 new mini-malls (9 businesses) and a Kohl's department store under construction right now in Pettyville along with two new restaurants near the Traffic Circle in Parkersburg and a Lowe's opened in Pettyville, next to the Super Wal-Mart just last fall. DuPont is still hiring every 3 or 4 months too. Struggling?? Hmm . . . .
And well, we aren't discouraging all immigrants. This Pakistani lady had the whole Tri-State Airport evacuated near Huntington, WV (Ceredo). . . . She was from the Detrioit area but had been living in Huntington, WV. That's the second headline for the week.
