SOME SHORTS AND SOME LONGS

News update: Dead Black Man in Parkersburg, hung himself. All my guesses were wrong. I admit it, I was wrong. He "evidently" hung himself after being evicted from the nearby apartments where he resided. I guess the woods next to the apartments provided the quickest place from which to hang himself.

Overheard on David Letterman (rerun)

Answer: Lingerie, Perfume and Charlie Sheen

Question: What can you find on a whore?

Question: What is there to watch in the summer on TV?

Answer: Re-runs on BET of the "Countdown to Lil Kim's prison sentence".

I only happen to know that it is a re-run because I saw a snippet on FOX News that she celebrated Independence Day a day early, with her release from prison, so, I am assuming that she is not going back to prison already.

But, what is up with THAT?? I just read the description of the show and it was her "final" dinner with family and friends. Is that all the Black Entertainment TV channel has to offer?!?!? Thank God I live in a country where my children have other options of "Entertainment" but if I wanted to show my kids some of the culture of Black people, using the television (Black Entertainment TV) because our population of black people in this area is next to non-existent, this is what they will learn. . . Famous rappers have TV shows before they go to prison. I am flabbergasted that an outcry from African-Americans with a shred of dignity for their culture has not been heard. I am also shocked that a TV channel geared toward the African-American people televises such bullshit. I would expect it from MTV but not from BET. If you think this is a slam to BET, it is. I feel sorry for those who use the TV as a cultural fill-in for their families and it goes to show that you can't use TV as a crutch for teaching children anything of values for any specific culture.

I have two words for black people who want to see their culture on TV . . . . . Watch PBS. They have a much better selection of stories pertaining to African-American heritage than "Lil Kim Goes to Prison".

And if the world couldn't get anymore screwed up, we have this Kim Jong Il to deal with. If there was someone to rival Saddam as a madman, here he is, for the whole world to see. He is not bright, has psychological problems and is undeniably unstable. His people are starving and all he can think about is taking over the world? I am not sure what else he is trying to prove by his recent actions . . . . maybe that he is a "tough" guy? That this small Asian country is a force to be reckoned with??? OK, then go get his poor peasant people out of there and drop a freaking bomb on him. While we are at it, lets just take all them poor people out of that area, then drop the bomb and kill the bird flu. OK, that's a little extreme but what the hey! Its either that or KLI will screw something up and blow the whole area up anyway. If we get the unfortunate out of the way, at least we would be saving them. Where to put them you say?!?! CANADA. Lots of empty wilderness and teach them to live like the Eskimos. At least they won't have to worry about tsunamis in Canada. (sorry to any of my Canadian readers . . . we don't have room for them! LOL)

Okay, while I am pitching a fit over blacks and their culture, my little firecracker got into the second drawer up in the kitchen and pulled herself up to it. Her hands were in the brown sugar. LOL I don't think she got any before I caught her "brown-handed". LMAO She is getting restless waiting on her Grandma to come home . . . . she is exchanging yet another car seat for Charleigh-Anne as we can't decide which on we want. We get them home and find something wrong with them. We need two because we can't keep changing them back and forth between the two vehicles. It is dangerous along with being inconvenient.

And if you think America should not be policeman of the world and how the peoples of other countries are treated, read this, a reminder of where we have been and where we are going:

AMERICA, A DEPOSITORY OF THE GIFTS OF THE WORLD
by Jim Rohn

A special July 4th Independence Day Message...One of the major challenges for all of us is to learn to live together on this one planet we all share. Hopefully we will all discover that by living and working together we will all benefit. I believe America is a great example of this. Guess what has made America powerful? The blending of many ethnic streams that have come to America over the last 200 years. No country has been such a depository of the gifts of the world like America. For over 200 years, people have come from all over the world to America, bringing with them their recipes and their food, their music and their dance and their artistic ability. The gift of law and the gift of government. The gift of medicine and the gift of healing. The gift of religion and the gift of the work ethic.

All of this did not start here. All of it came here from all the countries of the world. In fact it is an incredible list - how many people outside their native countries live in America. The most Japanese outside of Japan live in America, the most Italians outside of Italy live in America, the most Koreans outside of Korea live in America, the most Puerto Ricans outside of Puerto Rico live in America. You can go right down the list, country after country. The list is so long it's unbelievable, but that is what has made America so unbelievably powerful. The contribution of all the ethnic streams that have been coming here for 200 years is incredible. We must all now recognize what an incredible opportunity we all have before us, as this giant planet seems to get smaller all around us. And remember that it is our diversity that when mixed together can create genius. It is the combination of the soft sound of the flute and the crash of the symbols that make up the brilliant sounds of the symphony orchestra. In our challenges to learn better how to live together, let us also find new opportunities to create future genius and miracles in our world and with each other.

If you make an outcry against a famous rapper or athlete in the black community and you are black, you may as well kiss your "cred" goodbye...

See Bill Cosby's "crazy" self.

As for me, I just want to know what Lil' Kim ever did to get so rich was...

Like Alicia Silverstone, I'm clueless.
