OK, THIS IS AN UNDEAD ANIMAL STORY
--Yesterday, unbeknownst to me, Lilly, our smallest cat, caught a critter. I am used to her catching the occasional baby ground mole or spiders, but this was a bird. As I was saying, unbeknowst to me, she caught it. I was on my way to the garage, to the freezer out there, to grab a frozen pizza, when she dashed in the door.So I hear Mom yelling, "Tracey, Tracey, get Lilly she has some kind of critter. Well, I don't move fast enough for Mom, so she goes over to the poor little bird, it's little dead feet curled up, not moving or anything. She picks it up with a paper towel and threw it off the deck (which is like 20ft off the ground) and it TOOK OFF FLYING. LMAO That poor little bird had us all fooled and I am glad that Lilly is not the savage like her other two cohoarts of that vicious feline species, the housecat.
--We had Link (5yo male cat) shaved, I am sure there are pictures somewhere around here or a link to them. (no pun intended) He will not allow us to brush him. So Mom got out the "glove", which is like petting them, but it brushes them too. Mom ended up bitten twice. So, instead of the free kitten that we got so long ago, that should have been inexpensive to take care of is going to cost us $100 a year to keep groomed. Yup, he has to be put to sleep in order to shave him. That doesn't count the worm meds, rabies shots and other various innoculations that cats must have.
--We set a new record low last night . . . 34 degrees. I don't believe in global warming . . . . the old record was 35 set in 1997. If it hadn't been so cold outside last night when I awoke at 2AM and didn't get back to sleep until 6AM, I would have went outside stargazing . . . there was only a crescent moon and the viewing was good. That is the bad thing about good stargazing . . . when it's really nice and clear, it is also cold.
--Charleigh-Anne is now *scooting* around the floor for over an hour at a time. Before, she would be frustrated and start *fretting*, for lack of a better term. LOL
She is developing attachment issues with her Pooh blankie and Pooh snuggly though.
--Geez, such soapy soaps. I wish when I was waiting tables and *if* I had a step-mom that slept w/my ex-BF, before she married my Dad would be giving me a $20 tip for a take-out order. Sheesh. And THEN turn down a cushy job at the *big* international corporation that said step-mom offered. If only . . . . LOL

my dog is confused and thinks she's a cat. She's always catching birds.
Lucky bird.
You never know what they will become attached to, speaking about Charleigh-Anne, I remember my mom made the boys snugglies for them to become attached to (we had several of them that she made). They ended up getting attached to completely different things.
Funny but (today) they are 15 and still sleep with special blankets.
I do too (sleep with special blankets) Yes, one lucky bird.
