FINALLY, SOME SUCCESS

Wow! What a difference a day can make in the life of Iraqis, Americans and most of our Middle East comrades. In case you live in a cave, like bin Laden, al-Zarqwai is dead. Yup, the man who has killed hundreds, if not thousands of his own people (Muslims), had links to killings in Jordan, including a bridal party and has had a hand in countless deaths of American and other coalition civilians (personally beheading a kidnapped American civilian) and American and other coalition troops is gone. Now, it may be possible to get a handle on the secular divisions that have prevented Iraq from coming together. Now, we have taken a huge step towards defeating terrorism and allowing Iraqis to form their own political system, modeled more after Great Britain democracy than the US political system.

I have also come upon some information in regards to the Muslim religion . . . I have a homepage, thru my.msn and it always has an "ON THIS DAY" part about Muhammad, who died on this day, June 8th in the year 632. I suppose that someone somewhere, will make the connection in the radical Islamic society and use this as an excuse to kill more Muslims in addition to innocent people throughout the rest of the world.

I had made comments to Ranter in regards to the over-coverage of celebrities and how I would much rather hear about progress in Iraq only to hear Bill O'Reilly chime in the same thing last night. Finally, some good news for us.

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR MEN AND WOMEN IN UNIFORM SERVING ALL AROUND THE WORLD, WITHOUT WHOM, THIS WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE.

To those of you in Iraq, whom I know personally, it is a great relief to me that he is dead and I hope that the daily reports of bombings are stopped and I don't worry daily, if you are okay. Also, to the Iraqis, whom I pray for on a daily basis that their women, children and men do not become casualties in the war on terror. . . . the women and children especially, who are used as human shields in the hopes that coalition forces will not hit the terrorist "safe houses" and when they do, bad press follows around the world for the killing of "innocent" women and children, those who have NO control over the going-ons in their households.

Everything I needed to learn about the muslims, i learned from my friend brian who converted after 12 years of catholic school to become a shiite. while i don't want that for my life, it's made him happy in his life and for that, i accept it in however much it matters.

for the Al - z's of the world (who i am pretty happy is dead and pictured on so many fine internet sites in his blown-up-ed-ness), i think it's important to look at this whole insurgency as a war against the west and a sunni led war against the shiites and "collaborators" and for that.

as for the military people who are having to deal with the situations that arise... i too am glad that there is good news in al-z's death and i am equally happy about the follow ups raids that we have done as a result of info obtained.

hopefully, if the dumbocrats can pull their heads out and allow a victory to happen, then iraq will become something positive in the future... however, i don't believe in what this whole iraq situation is going to bring.

yes, it is too be noted that there is a difference between the sunnis ad the shiites . . . it is the sunnis that are blowing up their "own" people. My mom had to ask me the other day, "now who are the good ones?" she gets them confused.

does it make you think of what would have happened if blacks had not been granted civil rights? it's kind of the same thing . . . it is almost like a civil war over there with the sunnis thinking they are better than the shiites. that "their" way is the best way, therefore everyone should be like this. reminds me of the KKK, of whom "our" Hon. Robert C. Byrd belonged at one time . . . maybe you have heard . . . he has beaten Strom Thurmond's record of days in the Senate. i myself, have never voted for him . . . that is why "our" is in quotes. LOL and that is not to say that i do not vote. . . . he has been in DC so long, that WVirginians vote for him, because he is the name they recognize on the ballot. but he does manage to get the money back to West Virginia . . . for Robert C. Byrd hi-ways and byways until the finally passed a bill making it illegal to name stuff after a sitting member . . . . that doesn't keep his name off all the other stuff already named for him. (sorry, i went off on a rant)
