SUNDAY IS FOR FAMILY . . .

My cousin Sue and her husband picked up the cottage that I won on Ebay and brought it to us yesterday. They were accompanied by a couple friend of theirs and we all had a wonderful afternoon. I took the guys out to show them all the places to hunt and the property boundries. Later I took the girls over so Sue could see the "old homeplace". Although the house is not there, the cellar is still intact, the well and surrounding well rock, the porch step, the swing rock and the outhouse are all still in place.

Later in the day, while Mom and all of them went to eat, I took Charleigh-Anne to see her Dad. This is only the second time she has seen him since she was a baby (4 months old or so . . . and that was only once) but she seemed to be comfortable with him. His GF has decorated a room for her complete with a bed and dresser. They are buying all these things for her like she is going to be spending the night next week. We haven't even gone to court yet. He just got the DNA tests a few weeks ago and now, expect to have instant Daddy-rights after not having anything to do with her for 1 year. I had told him there wasn't anyone else and well, I was proven right. I have issues with people not believing me, especially over matters of such importance.

Anyhow, he took her for a few minutes to his neighbor's home to show her off and she was friendly to them too. Gary learned how quick that she can get into things, like his cabinets. LOL

Afterwards, I met Mom back at Ryan's to drop Charleigh-Anne off to her so I could head home to take my test. Mom and Charleigh-Anne took Sue and Co. to Little Hocking to my other cousin Kathy's so they could see her new home.

So, Charleigh-Anne spent most of the day with relatives other than us, for once. I am glad that she gets this chance to get to know other relatives since all she has had up to this point is Joey, me and Mom. Yes, the smile on my face is a little forced only because I wish things could have been different for her, with a Mom and Dad who love and care for one another rather than what is.

Anyhow, I will try to be a little lighter next time.

Steelers kicked ASS! Of course, it was KC (haha Kelly) but at least they looked decent.

Did you catch that Monday Night game too?!?!? OMG!

It's a shame that some people just don't get it.

All the same, hopefully instant daddy rights won't mean too much inconvenience for full time mommy.

Have a good weekend.
