TRAGEDY IN VIRGINIA
It appears that a psychotic Asian person has killed over 20 students and/or professors at the University of Virginia. VA-Tech is located near Blackburg VA, located close to the WV border. I know people who have attended VA-Tech and being a college student myself, it is extremely scary.
Can you imagine the fear of thousands of parents across the nation?? There are conflicting stories about it the gunman is dead or not or if there may have been multiple shootings. One shooting occurred early about 7am in a dorm, that killed at least 1, then another shooting in an engineering building while classes where in session occured a few hours later, that killed at least 19. 
It is also being reported that they were lined up and shot execution-style . . .OMG, those poor people. It appears that we may have broken a record on the number of people killed in a single shooting incident in the US . . .
Once again I ask the question . . . what is the world coming to???

One thing I can always remember my dad asking about the holocaust was how do people allow themselves to go to their death without fighting back. If the killings were execution style, someone might have died from gun shots, but they could have overwhelmed and tore that guy to shreds.
On that note, the Jewish guy (holocaust survivor) who held the door to protect the students... I can only hope if something ever happens like that with my students, I can be that strong.
This whole scenario is so horrific, I don't want to be seen as 2nd guessing anything, as those who do are often more for political means, but there has to be something inside us that sees and understands evil - wants to destroy it - and that just isn't there at this time.
